ORIGIN OF GWR NANO TECHNOLOGY
The basic material of GWR Nano was originally developed in Russia during the space race
This material is used to protect equipment exposed to extreme cold (Siberia) or extreme heat (combustion). Therefore, the military has used it to insulate weapons, equipment, and buildings in extreme temperature conditions. However, the problem is that this material is difficult to produce due to the rare and hard-to-find raw materials.
OVER THE PAST DECADE, Windt Technologies has invested heavily in research and development to make the basic nanomaterial more efficient and easier to use
Based on Windt Technologies’ patented methodology, GWR Nano is now optimized for industrial, commercial and residential applications
TEST PROCESS
GWR Nano’s research and development results have historically been so strong that they seem too good to be true
So we partnered with the most trusted company in the industry, TÜV SÜD of Germany
TÜV SÜD is a globally recognized independent testing and certification service provider, with only internationally experienced experts involved in testing.
GWR Nano is so revolutionary that we worked with TÜV SÜD to develop a new testing procedure to determine the thermal performance and energy consumption of GWR Nano.
RESULTS
According to the measurements, a building insulated with GWR Nano required:
9.2% energy savings compared to a building with conventional insulation.
43% energy savings compared to a building without insulation.
The test was conducted in a temperate environment in Central Europe.
In hotter or colder environments, GWR Nano performed even better than conventional insulation.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), air conditioning and electric fans account for one-fifth of all electricity consumed in buildings worldwide – equivalent to 10% of the global total.
With a world increasingly reliant on cooling systems, GWR Nano is the future.
GWR NANO VS TRADITIONAL INSULATION GWR NANO
Fast and simple to apply: The application process is efficient and easy as it is similar to applying a single coat using a sprayer. This reduces labour costs due to less complex planning and implementation
Space saving and retrofittable: Only 1 mm of GWR Nano is needed to effectively insulate most buildings and equipment. This minimal space requirement allows for architectural and design freedom.
Heat leak prevention: When applied, GWR Nano creates a uniform surface with no thermal bridges (temperature leakage points).
Sustainable and safe: GWR Nano significantly reduces the energy consumption of a building, extends the life of building materials and emits no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are harmful to the environment.
TRADITIONAL INSULATION
Slow to install: Each space in a building has different insulation needs, requiring different materials, which in turn require different levels of planning, effort and time. This increases labor costs and lengthens the planning and installation process.
Takes up a lot of space and is difficult to adjust: It takes more than 10cm of polystyrene to achieve the same insulation performance as 1mm of GWR Nano. Due to the large space requirements, adding insulation to buildings becomes a costly and space-consuming challenge.
Prone to leaks: The nature and structure of this material makes it difficult to create a uniform surface, which can easily lead to thermal bridges that cause costly heat loss.
Unsustainable and unsafe: Traditional insulation contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which have negative impacts on human health.
QUICK AND SIMPLE APPLICATION
Even for beginners, GWR Nano is easier to apply than traditional insulation, as the installation process is similar to spraying a thick coat of latex paint. Very little preparation work is required.
A sprayer and two assistants can effectively insulate 300-600 m² of surface in one day, significantly reducing labor costs.
As long as the surface is properly cleaned, GWR Nano can be applied to almost any surface or system:
Metal, brick, cement, plaster, wood, glass, plastic, concrete or steel
Floors, air conditioning ducts, walls and roofing systems
GWR Nano can be used as an underlayment or coating.
SAVES SPACE AND CAN BE INSTALLED
- Saves space
- In a 10m x 10m room, using GWR Nano on each wall saves 3.92 m² of usable floor space
- If insulation is used for both the floor and ceiling, GWR Nano can add 19.8 cm of height to the ceiling
CAN BE INSTALLED
- While traditional insulation must be installed at the construction stage, GWR Nano can be installed as a retrofit, even years after the completion of the building.
- When applied externally, GWR Nano can seal any structure and minimise heat gain from the sun, while protecting against external moisture and allowing internal moisture to escape.
- Once installed, the lightweight GWR Nano does not add significantly to the weight of the structure, but immediately starts saving energy.
LEAKPROOF, DURABLE AND SAFE
- The main reason why GWR Nano saves energy is because it eliminates thermal bridges, creating a completely uniform surface that does not allow unwanted heat and air to pass through.
- When used as a coating, GWR Nano minimises radiant heat gain.
- It also acts as a weather barrier, being particularly effective against direct sunlight.
- When GWR Nano is applied to pipes, tubes and machinery that reach high temperatures, the outside temperature of these devices is significantly reduced
- The vapor permeability of GWR Nano allows moisture in the wall to escape, providing a comfortable feeling for residents and preventing the growth of mould and nitrate precipitation.
- This permeability also reduces shrinkage and expansion, which reduces leakage, reduces long-term damage and increases the life of the structure.
- Equipment that is often a risk of burns or freezing for employees is significantly safer with a GWR Nano coating.
- GWR Nano is non-toxic and does not emit harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during construction or maintenance.
- With its superior energy efficiency, GWR Nano is the most environmentally friendly insulation material on the market today.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS OF GWR NANO
- Better performance in extremely high or low temperatures.
- Easy to dye, can be customized to any color
- When applied directly to the surface, the structure of the surface will be preserved
